The Fox River Trail Runners and the Batavia Accelerators are once again partnering to present a summer series of Cross Country races at Wheeler Park in Geneva, IL. The course is a ¾ mile loop around Wheeler Park. The racing series commences on Thursday June 25^th and continues every Thursday up to and including August 6^th. Race registration begins at 5:30 pm and the first race starts at 6:00 pm. The cost is $1.00 per participant with a family rate of $3.00 no matter how many family members choose to participate.

Participants will be assigned to the following age groups:

2nd grade and under	¾ mile
3rd through 5th grade	¾ mile
6th through 8th grade	1 ½ mile
HS Frosh – Soph	2 ¼ mile
HS Jr – Sr	3 mile
Open	3 mile
Masters (40 and older)	3 mile

 

A runner’s grade is the grade they will be entering in the fall. There will be two races. The first starts at 6:00 pm and is for 8th grade and younger runners. The second starts about 10 minutes after the first race finishes and is for high school, open and masters runners. Males and females will be running together in each race. Ribbons will be awarded to every runner in each age and gender group. Each week, points will be awarded for the top five finishers in each group as follows.
