The Fox River Trail Runners and the Batavia Accelerators are joining together to present a summer series of Cross Country races at Wheeler Park in Geneva, IL. The series will commence with the first race on Thursday, July 10th and continue every Thursday up to and including August 7th. Registration will begin at 5:30 pm and the first race will start at 6:00 pm. Cost is $1.00 per participant with a family rate of $3.00 no matter how many family members choose to participate. Age Groups:
- 2nd grade and under 3/4 mile
- 3rd through 5th grade 3/4 mile
- 6th through 8th grade 1.5 miles
- HS Frosh-Soph 2.25 miles
- HS Jr-Sr 3 miles
- Open 3 miles
- Masters 3 miles
A runner's grade is the grade they will be entering in the fall. There will be two races: the first at 6:00 pm for 8th grade and younger runners and the second starting after the first for high school, open and masters runners. Males and females will be running together in each race. Ribbons will be awarded to each age group and males and females. All participants will be awarded a ribbon. Each week, points will be awarded for the top 5 finishers in each group as follows:
